So far I’m loving the singleplayer, so I’ll most likely be buying it on release day. There is a couple of things that grinds my gears in co-op however (which is what I’m playing in the video, with my little sister)

Bumping into other players – I wish you could somehow have players just walk straight through eachother instead of constantly bumping eachother into enemies, off edges and mid-air above a pit killing you both off at the same time, for instance. Sometimes you can get to hard-to-reach places with the help of your buddy but that’s pretty much the only use for it.

Controls – Overal the controls themselves are working great. But there’s something about the “feel”. Kind of “mushy” if you like. It’s sometimes a bit hard to predict jumps when you for example wanna take out an enemy by jumping on their head, land on that narrow spot where one pixel off means certain death, etc. Also, wall-jumping seems a bit random, compared to the new Super Mario game on the DS, where I could pull them off without a hitch.

Anyways, I’ll mostly be playing the game singleplayer and I’m sure by time I’ll get more used to the feel of the controls, so these tiny annoyances are no dealbreakers in the end.

  • [..YouTube..] play uncharted 2 its better than this game
  • [..YouTube..] Yeah, especially in coop. The game is a bit sadomasochistic compared to the DS version.
  • [..YouTube..] Man this looks insanely dificult...
  • [..YouTube..] 3:00
  • [..YouTube..] 2:39 hihihihiihi.
  • [..YouTube..] hahahaha luigi killed to mario xD
  • [..YouTube..] FUCK YOU!!!
  • [..YouTube..] OK. I was wondering if it were some glitch or something to force players to share powers. But that would've just been silly.
  • [..YouTube..] re-takes, hidden cuts, etc. :)
  • [..YouTube..] 1:51 or 1:52 - Mario has ice and Luigi small going into the pipe, now both super???
  • [..YouTube..] Lol, Hey you, Help Weegee.
  • [..YouTube..] I not getting this game as I am waiting for Mario Galaxy 2. With the simple graphics they should have this a WiiWare game instead of wasting an 8 Gigabyte disc on a rather short and simple game.
  • [..YouTube..] lol epic
  • [..YouTube..] @mdwoods1000:

That's not always the case. I used to work at a game store in 2006, until I went off to college in 2007. Anyways, the manager of the store was really nice and allowed us to give a limit of 3 copies off to our friends, only if they promised not to make leaked torrents on the internet. My friends aren't dumb, so they followed his rules. Employees also have their own pre order list and we used to get our pre-ordered games 3-4 days before release, and with a 15% employee discount.
  • [..YouTube..] 8:59 luigi said "hey u! help weegee!"
  • [..YouTube..] 1:14

    XDXD, silly luigi
  • [..YouTube..] It's all good, manager is even a cool guy.
The only real problem would be if I leaked the games or lent them to others but I wouldn't betray these guys. Heck, with all the pirating going on on the web these days it wouldn't be any point to it :) Also, it's usually just the copy they use for the consoles on stand in the store anyways, so it's not like they are cheating customers by selling used copies.
Thanks for the concern though, still some decent people out there on the intertubes.
  • [..YouTube..] To McKack,

I think it's great that you get to borrow some games before they're released, but don't tell too many ppl because your friend could get in some serious trouble. You know how big of a snitch some ppl can be...
  • [..YouTube..] Heh, yeah those accidental teamkills can get a bit annoying in the long run, but luckily the levels aren't too long and you have unlimited continues. It's probably a good laugh in 4-player parties with friends though, I'm sure :D
  • [..YouTube..] KAMEK!!!!!!! :D thats fuckin sweet
