Some make game characters more realistic by “untooning” them, I do the opposite by “beading” them… Here’s a truncated repost of a few game characters I did way back using beads as a medium. Sort of pixel art you could say.


I might just have to steal Pixeloo’s idea though and try this out for myself as well, perhaps both “untooned” and “beaded” — call it an unofficial collaboration if you will :)

  • [..YouTube..] Oh yes, very easy compared to small ones. The "low resolution" is a really big disadvantage though. The boards I'm using were the only ones available (16x16)
    For example:
    kimpixˌnet/archive/beads_of_war_and_odd_things

    Kinda hard to make out what it is :) Then again the restriction is a fun challenge

    when i use hama beads i always find it hard to remove them once i've placed them on the board
